About me

I am an artist and illustrator living in London. My work is usually painting and drawing based but I have also explored video work. I also am an avid writer - from poetry to articles - writing my most recent piece was an article for an art and activism zine. As well as this I have designed a line of jewellery , available from my website.

• Autonomous DrawingsThese are a series of autonomous drawings - experimenting with the unconscious mind. I explored both digitally and physically.

  Martha Hine JewelleryOver lock down I set up a jewellery brand (@marthahinejewellery on Instagram) making unique handmade 3D printed resin earrings. This is the most recent collection called Tranquility. The previous collection before this was based on times of the day and consisted of the morning, afternoon and evening collection. The first collection was made of clay but I didn’t love it as a medium. Autonomy and autonomous drawing featured in the initial collection too.
• How Does Invisible Illness Destabilise Identity?This is a short article I was commissioned to write for an activism zine called ArtxActivism which was looking at disability in its most recent issue.

  Détente- An operation of spa diplomacy°‘Détente’ is an operation of diplomacy through spa practices facilitating relaxation, learning and enhancing common good between us. Acting as an unorthodox approach to political activism, we remove ourselves from the alter of work. This much needed space comes from research around our contemporary trade and political practices.
