Define is an established and highly respected insight agency with a 25-year history of working with governments, consumer bodies, agencies and charities. I was asked to evolve the Define visual brand to represent the company that it is today. Deliverables included a wordmark, colour palette, bespoke Wordpress-based website and branded MS Word/Powerpoint stationery templates. My first goal was to create an instantly recognisable wordmark to convey the established and confident nature of the brand. The previous wordmark, while functional and clear, was showing its age and no longer reflected the agency's current status. I embarked on a thorough exploration of typographic alternatives, making custom adjustments to more modern serif and sans-serif fonts to create a powerful and unique identity. The next steps were to roll out the identity across bespoke stationery templates and a slick new website. The latter I designed in Wordpress, a platform the client was familiar with using. I incorporated video and interactive elements to bring the site to life, with expansive imagery suggesting the thoughtfulness and broad scope of Define's work.
