About me
I am an aspiring graphic designer, whose biggest dream is to be recognizable through my passion and skills. I believe that thanks to the hard work, everyone is able to reach their goals. Key to a successful career is to make the most of your time and do your best. This is the reason why my daily schedule contains studying, working part-time (around 24 hours per week), attending to the gym and being a member of 3 different societies (AIESEC, Dance society, and Box society). I’m a very energetic and positive person who is motivated to work hard every single day. I believe that through the smile, self-confidence and positive attitude we can reach everything. I like to work in a team and collaborate with other people.

On the University are studying people from all around the world. This gives the opportunity to also learn a lot from each other about our cultures. One of the examples can be learning the languages from each other. As a member of language exchange, I needed to be prepared for language barriers. I was teaching Russian in English one of my Chinese friend. The ability to teach foreign language in different language demanded self-confident from me. Sometimes I needed to be spontaneous and really creative. I had to know how to explain in English difficult parts like Russian grammar to people who are still not that fluent in English.

Multitasking is a key skill to manage: as a part of Pret a Manger company, I'm responsible for working on a till, serving customers, sometimes making coffee, baking croissants, and cookies and trying to help customers with all the issue they possibly can have. Teamwork is essential in this job. Good communication and helping as well as the ability to ask for help are vital. Based on our teamwork we are receiving a bonus which we are almost never loosing. It's hard to call it responsibility but a great attitude is key in this job. I'm creating the atmosphere in the shop and my behavior affects whether customers will come back to us or not.

This course is a great opportunity to gain practical and theoretical knowledge and apply it to marketing. Good understanding of the design process allows me to use it in different sectors like marketing strategies, user experience, emphasizes targeting chosen audience and so much more. Modules based on knowledge of the history of art and mass consumption helped me to understand the current state of design and all the principals in culture. Studies focused on image taught me the fundamental rules of colour space, management, and specification. Animation introduced me to the world of movement and 3D perspective. I learned how to create an animated character with a strong personality. This module gave me also knowledge of basic rules in the movie industry. Business modules provide me with an understanding of the schemes in this world and apply them to marketing. My studies gave me a good view of customers demands, organisations, markets in relation to the design. Additionally, I got a perspective on how to develop the products, services, and enterprise. I am planning to apply all my knowledge and skills into my future work in a real design career.

Poland offers a high quality of education. My school was in the first top 10 secondary schools in Warsaw and it offers a comprehensive education. As extending modules, I took mathematics, geography, and Russian. This field of study was aimed to prepare me for work in the business industry. My modules provide me with principals of the economy, marketing, and business. It helped me to understand the needs of the audience and enterprises. The decision of taking Russian at extended level allows me to learn another foreign language. My school wasn’t focusing on art, although it was still a big part of it. We had music, theatre, and art festivals, which were well known among young people and artists. It gave me an opportunity to be a member of a design and theatre society. I was able to get to know people from the industry, develop my hobbies and create my personality.
