"I have a passion for creating photographs, that require viewing for longer than the average Instagram post to be understood. We currently live in a throw away era, were everything is made quickly and disposable. People seem to be in a rush to go nowhere. They're too busy playing keeping up with the Jones’ to feel anything but the pressures imposed on us by our society. They don't have the time to stop and look, or ask “why”?
"I believe that if people did slow down enough to see what my photographs have to say, it would give them a chance to think and challenge our outlook on the world. Instead of accepting the social and industry views we've all been taught. With open minded, alternative outlooks. I want people to give themselves time. Not only to see, but to value the finer details of life."
Born and raised in Hull, North East Yorkshire England, Marv is a self taught photographer that uses medium format film cameras to create his photographs and convey his messages.
