My practice is focused on photographic portraiture & is concerned with human behaviour, interconnected relationships & communication. My work holds participation at its core: I aim to build community through shared photographic experiences, encouraging people to explore how they communicate & relate to each other & their environments. I often cultivate the same theme in several countries, building connections across communities, societies & cultures. My work is thoughtful & playful, brought into being through social interaction.
I have worked extensively with regional & global organisations on publicly funded cultural projects, such as undertaking commissions & residences for organisations including Tate, The Photographers' Gallery, Whitechapel Gallery, LACMA, South London Gallery, Courtauld Gallery & the Foundling Museum.
