Communications for New Artists

Starting late last year I begun working with two musical artists in setting up their social media presence online. Applying the knowledge that I have attained in my higher education in promotional media I have been working with the artists to create the persona they wish to present across social media. Focusing on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, I have been collecting and editing videos, pictures, and sound clips to design captivating, honest, and raw representations of the two artists. They are both projects that I have put a great amount of dedication and time into, spending any free time that I have when not studying towards my masters in creating and promoting the artists.
PR Assistant

Internship that lasted 6 weeks.
Responsibilities included:
- Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and email
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
- Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes
- Doing morning papers daily, this involved highlighting and scanning any media coverage of clients, and also pointing out any potential opportunities for media coverage
- In charge of organising all press deliveries, including booking and tracking courier services and ensuring all deliveries are received in a timely manner
