As a News Reporter for Varsity, the University of Cambridge's independent student newspaper, I am required to keep my 'ear to the ground' as we publish news stories daily. These stories cover student and University news, as well as that of the local Cambridge community. I'm then responsible for writing up 2-3 news stories weekly, including the news stories assigned at weekly meetings, longer collaborative pieces, and covering breaking news. In this role, I have developed experience with sending comment requests and also FOI requests.
