About me
My name is Matilde Roby. I am currently doing my MA in Graphic Design at London. I am passionate by cars, design, fashion and photography. Since I was a kid, I knew I would live and work in the UK. In the future, I want to work in the automotive design industry. Before that, I am currently exploring my skills in design and allowing myself to learn much more about design itself.

This semester abroad allowed me to study in one of my favourite cities- London. The semester in UAL made me explore the part of the design that I never expected to do- research. As a designer, I was always used to creating and following a briefing. Now, I know all the work and processes before the briefing and the work we have to do. It was fascinating.

During my degree in Lisbon, I studied a variety of design fields. As a result, my course is called Global Design. We investigated the role of design in branding, interior design, design motion, and even the development of a computer game. The parts of this course that caught my interest the most were graphic design, branding and advertising. The process of creating logos and advertisements for my projects—companies, games, or products—always left me with a variety of ideas, and I always tried to go above and beyond what was needed. I've always preferred to make my ideas solid and straightforward, but I'm willing to go well beyond the cliché "keep things simple." The entire process of developing ideas, sketches, and designs was complex and challenging. I recognised that the entire design aspect of brand creation was what I wanted to accomplish in the future. I'd like to do a lot more with my ideas and skills.
