In short:
Having learned a thing or two during more than 25 years working for some of the UK’s most highly rated brand design companies, I bring all of that experience to Baxter & Bailey. We're a brand-focussed design agency making work that has a positive impact for clients we admire.
In the past:
I started working life in London at Trickett & Webb and then Blast. I then worked internationally with Melbourne-based brand design studio 3Deep. I returned to London for five years as creative director and partner at 300million, followed by two years as creative director at Together Design. I co-founded Baxter & Bailey with Dom Bailey in 2012.
In particular:
I've worked for all kinds of clients all over the world. Favourites include Royal Mail, Oxford University Press, The Body Shop, Orchestre de Paris, the Edinburgh International Film Festival and the BBC.
In the industry:
I've written for publications including Design Week, Computer Arts and The Drum and have judged design awards including D&AD, Fresh and Design Week. I have an interest in design education and have given talks everywhere from LCC, the Cass and 4-Designers, to the University of Northumbria and Middlesex University. I've also run portfolio surgeries for D&AD Newblood.
On the studio shelves:
The work of Baxter & Bailey is featured in design books such as A Smile In The Mind, Min: New Simplicity in Graphic Design, 64GB and Logo. And our awards shelf includes gongs from D&AD, Design Week, Transform and The Drum.
In my spare time:
I write and draw comics for kids. These have included The Phoenix Comic ("The best kids' comic" according to The Guardian and "Effervescently inventive" according to the late, great Clive James), Moosekid Comics and Titan's Doctor Who comic.
In three words:
Let’s get cracking.
