About me
I have been working as a freelance illustrator/cartoonist since completing my PhD in Neuroscience in 2013. I specialize in science visualization, producing info-comics and illustrations. I am the author of Neurocomic, a graphic novel supported by the Wellcome Trust and published by Nobrow. I have also collaborated with high-profile scientific institutions such as UCL, Harvard, the Columbia School of Journalism and Rice University. Finally I am very passionate about education and public engagement and I am often invited to give lectures and host science communication events.
Projects
- Columbia Journalism SchoolIllustrations commissioned by Susan McGregor, from the Columbia Journalism School These panels aim to visualize in a simple way how packets of data are transmitted in a centralized versus a decentralized network. The full set was published as part of a paper about Digital Security For Journalists, which explains the difference between http and https, authentication, encryption and many other terms which are becoming increasingly relevant for all of us, not only for journalists.
