As the Senior Copywriter it was my responsibility to compile and develop clear brand voices and strategy for clients and campaigns such as McDonalds and Toyota. I also took a lead in the strategic direction for client campaigns and I attended meetings and pitches accordingly. I was heavily involved in winning some key client pitches such as Toyota’s PCP launch, Notte Bianca and a number of Air Malta campaigns. While my main focus was as a copywriter I was directly involved in strategy/planning and led, for instance, the full re-branding and positioning of a large national Group.
In terms of copywriting, I crafted all forms of copy for the agency from streamlines to long-form, social media posts to radio ads, TVC scripts to posters and everything in-between. All copy was produced with a brand-led focus that was campaign-appropriate and creative. I would handle multiple accounts at any one time and am able to switch between different tones of voice easily and work on producing a range of different copy depending on client and brief requirements.
I also managed and trained a junior copywriter.
Additionally, I balanced this with the role of Editor of the Air Malta in-flight magazine, Il Bizzilla where I led the design, commercial and content team in all aspects. I was responsible for a direction change in the magazine, making it lighter in tone and more audience appropriate. My role involved editing, copyediting and proofreading for the magazine among commercial and client-facing functions.

My principle responsibilities were the growth of the company website and the establishment of an Inbound Methodology in marketing communications. I created the brand’s tone of voice and delivered this with consistency across the company website, its main source of communication, but also Social Media channels, newsletters and external PR communications. Even when I became Head of Marketing and responsible for client accounts such as AB Inbev and Microsoft Italy, I maintained the communication output for the brand. My time with Kazendi saw me deliver Augmented Reality Brand experiences for Corona and Remy Martin.
