Pollen is a marketplace for people to sell tickets for events and earn rewards. It is a part of Verve, one of the leading companies in brand advocacy. Representing Pollen, a key role was to increase brand exposure to the student population of Nottingham. I successfully promoted the brand, recruiting 15 new members per month, developing my networking capabilities and organisational skills. This job also trained my interpersonal skills, enhancing my confidence in new situations and challenging social environments. In particular, I gained an appreciation of the importance of brand philosophy, upholding their values whilst carrying out my role.

Senior Event ManagerTriple cooked

Triple Cooked, part of Running Wild (www.runningwild.co.uk), is a nightclub event occurring all over the UK. As senior event manager for Triple Cooked in Nottingham, I introduced the event to the city, popularising it and achieving multiple sold out shows in Nottingham’s most distinguished venues. My responsibilities included being the face of the brand in Nottingham, managing customer service, and organising a wide range of entertainment from booking DJ’s and entertainment. I was entrusted with several financial responsibilities including staff wages and the content budget, as well as assisting with market strategy and the recruitment and management of sales representatives. I managed and motivated over 90 representatives of Triple Cooked, greatly enhancing my leadership skills. This role has excelled my networking competence, as I communicated between representatives, Running Wild founders and venue managers. Drawing all these elements together from multiple sources immensely improved my organisational skills in both my academic and professional pursuits, allowing me to learn how to keep a cool head under pressure. This role also enhanced my IT competence, being given the responsibility of distributing wages online and administrate the event pages on social media.
