Hello I’m Matt, a robust, lateral-thinking and personable individual with a range of experience in the creative sector. From live event production or copywriting for a reputable publication, to teaching and running a business, I eagerly rise to all challenges and thoroughly enjoy the learning process. Although I have truly enjoyed my time working in education, I am now looking for a position within media where I can use my experience and knowledge to explore many different forms of content creation and the methods and systems used to generate content effectively. I hope to exploit opportunities and continue an upwards trajectory in the field of journalism and content creation.

Primarily I immerse myself in all aspects of dance music, publish news, articles, and interviews covering the greatest in innovative, underground culture from across the globe. Alongside this TRN offers musings on film, books, life, and art, generating some context and controversy as an antidote to the reheated PR that clogs up the internet.

On this course I composed, performed, recorded, listened to and have written about popular music to develop musical and academic skills. I produced and recorded music in uni recording studios, rehearsal rooms, a synthesis/sampling lab - and the analogue/digital hybrid Visconti Studio. This all encompassing experience introduced me in a round about way to music journalism, the field in which I ply my trade today.
