I am an intelligent and enterprising individual. In 2016, I graduated from Latin America's first film school in Mexico City (CUEC) and was offered an opportunity to further study animation in Birmingham, England for a year. I accepted this once-in-a-lifetime challenge, which offered me invaluable lessons in the importance of teamwork, cultural awareness and resourcefulness. I embrace challenge with utmost enthusiasm and always make sure that what I commit to is completed in due time and form. I take pride in going the extra mile for a project I believe in and have had enough experience in successful guerrilla filmmaking to offer quick and creative alternatives to keep productions within budget and timeframes. I'm honest and level-headed, which makes me a valuable collaborator on the production team. As a recent graduate, I am seeking to apply these skills to gain professional experience.Locked Pro Plan feature

Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) was founded in 1963 as part of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. It is the first fim school in Latin America and was greatly influenced by the Nouvelle Vague and by the First Contest of Experimental Film organised in Mexico that year. In 42 years, CUEC has had as students several of the main Mexican filmmakers, including Alfonso Cuarón and Emmanuel Lubezki. CUEC produces almost 100 short films a year, many showing at international festivals.
"Birth" by Mauricio Hernández Serrano was chosen by the jury for being a project that clearly reflects the position of the filmmaker in front of its subject, creativity in the audiovisual discourse, as well as to commend the achievement of a production in places that are difficult to gain access to.
