Nice People Magazine is a free magazine full of nice people doing nice things in Leeds, celebrating those who are creative, independent and inclusive. My main responsibility is to curate content for each issue and edit and design all the pages ready for print. After spending a year as a music editor, I was selected to oversee and manage In The Middle, the arts supplement of the University of Leeds' official newspaper. This involves subediting all 7 sections ready for print, guiding and helping the team of 20 section editors, ensuring the publication stays fresh and relevant, and working closely with the Editor-in-Chief to make sure In The Middle is diverse, inclusive, authentic and responsive to times like Black History Month and LGBTQIA+ Awareness
