Sub-EditorCanis Magazine
- London, United KingdomInternship
Canis is a a luxury dog magazine that aims to be an elite home for all things dog and brings the excellence to your canine companion.
The print addition of the magazine was launched in May 2019 with great success.
During my role as sub-editor, I was involved in ensuring all content was kept in line with the brand. Before the creation of Canis we did thorough market research to identify a gap in the market, establish an audience and tailor content accordingly.
This role also involved working closely with the editor, leading a team and checking all copy for accuracy and ensuring content and photographs were in accordance with the brand's vision.
I also completed my own portfolio of written news stories and feature articles from research and interviews that were published in the magazine. This met setting and keeping to deadlines, time management and employment of core journalistic skills.
Furthermore, a key part of this role was to establish a social media presence and promote and maintain our brand through these platforms thus I gained experience in marketing management.
