About me

I am a third year student studying Business Studies with a Year in Industry at the University of Liverpool. During my time at university, including my placement year I have become confident and proactive as well as continuously working and striving as part of a team. My placement year at Sky showed how much I strive in a working environment, especially one that involves communications. I have experience a diverse range of people throughout my working life. I am extremely hard working and self-motivated, always striving to complete a task with 110%.

  • During my Corporate Affairs Placement at Sky, I worked in the Content PR Team as an assistant publicist. My key responsibilities involved: - Working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and develop high impact, creative, integrated PR campaigns that drive awareness. - Working as part of the team with the publicists and managers to deliver campaigns, as well as sole responsibility for publicising additional shows. -Managing external agency and internal stakeholders. - Develop creative ideas to drive external walkability. - General press office duties such as team calendar organisation and responding reactive media enquiries. - Building an understanding of a broad range of media outlets including technology, entertainment, and film and sport media to identify PR opportunities.

  • Whilst working at Guerillscope I developed my skills in time keeping and meeting deadlines, as I was the only junior working, several colleagues would give me multiple things to do at similar times in different areas for example TV schedules and research of genres on programmes. I had to manage getting the work back to everyone and I did this through creating a chart with my tasks and deadlines on each day and allocating time to each one. During my work experience I communicated with clients outside the business building relationships and contacts, and learning first hand industry knowledge.
