Developing and delivering communications strategies through strategic PR and events management: • Media management - Daily liaison with press, writing and researching press releases and case studies, both for charities - real life stories to show how funding has been used, and commercially - showing the success of the campaigns and events produced, selling in stories to the media, responding to journalist’s enquiries and proactively developing creative concepts to drive press coverage and brand awareness. • Account management - First point of contact for clients, discussing their needs and ensuring that campaigns directly meet their objectives and KPIs, developing campaigns for the charities such as Marie Curie, the Eve Appeal and Bowel & Cancer Research and commercial brands such as Wi-Ki-Woo hotel, Yogaline mats and Lilliana swimwear. Maintaining regular communications with clients, providing frequent reports depending on the needs of the client or campaign. • Event management - Organising events such as brand activations, awards shows, gala dinners, press launches and red-carpet events. Working towards a range of commercial and private events that were fundraising for charities such as Global Gift Foundation, Football For Peace, Style For Stroke Foundation and Pink Ribbon Foundation. Coordinating event collateral, sourcing goodie bags products, guestlist management, red carpet management and looking after talent and press. Distributing photocall notices and managing photographers at events. Post-event, selling in images and press releases to the media.

My day-to-day role includes: Building strong media relationships, pitching effectively to generate coverage for my clients. During my contract at the creative event management agency I have developed my skills and knowledge surrounding all areas of events management. Working on a variety of events such as; conferences, dinners and trade shows of different scales: Building websites using event software Events Air and Cvent. Creating, writing and sending event emails. Updating event app and social media pages. Client management, corresponding with clients ensuring that their needs are met and providing regular updates. Registration management- first point of contact for all inquiries, providing effective customer communication at all times and ensuring data is processed in an accurate and timely manner. Researching suppliers/ coordinating logistics for upcoming events.
Executing domestic and global marketing and communications strategy towards events including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend, The Australian Fashion Laureate and MADE Sydney: Managing the event marketing timeline, briefing creative assets to the external team in the US. Ensuring that everything was produced in line with the event style guide, signed off by event sponsors and clients, working closely with other departments to meet tight deadlines. Managing the international influencers and media programme, key to building awareness of the Australian fashion industry. Assisting with and arranging travel itineraries including flights, hotels, building and maintaining strong relationships with all media and influencers. Attending client meetings, pitches and site run-throughs, completing all action points and tracking in the project timeline. Coordinating all third party agencies and vendors to ensure that all work was executed on time and to the highest of standards. Liaising with the external PR agency, working on media strategy, drafting press releases and media alerts, along with media monitoring. Compiling regular internal and external reports. Creating campaigns to push the companies international profile as they expanded into the US market. Provided support to the sales representatives and customers. Dealing with existing clients and new enquiries throughout the sales process and setting up face-to-face showroom appointments. Managing projects such as tradeshow opportunities and implementing fresh marketing tactics.
Worked on the accounts for brands including Mary Katrantzou, Agent Provocateur, Baja East, Francesco Russo and Céline. I thrived working under pressure in the exciting fast-pace of the industry. My day to day duties included: Pulling samples for requests from an extensive range of publications and VIPs. Corresponding directly with editors and stylists to arrange use of samples. Responsible for tracking and clipping all press coverage, compiling reports and organising the showroom for viewings and sales appointments. I was extremely hands on with a number of the clients’ shows at Fashion Week, assisting with event preparation, invitations, seating plans along with setting up event spaces.
