For two semesters over my time at the University of Michigan (Fall 2013, Winter 2015), I have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Computer Science department; specifically Professor Elliot Soloway's Mobile Apps for Entrepreneurs class. Over my time as the class Design Consultant I: *Held office hours to provide UI and graphic design feedback for Michigan Comp. Sci. Engineering mobile app class; *Gave ‘Elements of Mobile Design’ 1-class crash course and presentation tailored for student app developers; *Helped student teams develop their app’s brand and tailor their products for their desired audience; *Continue to provide design feedback for past students and teaching assistants via the internet. I also assisted with this class in the Fall Semester of 2013. What I can contribute to the class has changed alongside the industry and technology, which has been a welcome and unique challenge. I'm also continuously updating the class blog (a place for resources): mobileappdesigntips.tumblr.com.
Over my time as an intern at a production company in Los Angeles in the Summer of 2014 I: *Created assets (illustrations, short animations) to contribute to commericals and videos; *Created illustrations in various styles for company website and other online/print media; *Created storyboards for commercials and web videos to later be filmed by Nurture; *Created pitch decks to present to specific clients. Was given text and images that fit the pitch idea and laid them out in a visually clear and pleasant manner; *Helped develop brand identity for new branch of the company;
*Create weekly illustrations to accompany personal essays, and statements in the University of Michigan’s student newspaper (Color, greyscale, and .gif images.); *Explore various styles of illustration (vector, traditional, animated, collage); *Collaborate and brainstorm with authors and newspaper staff on a weekly basis.
Developed and taught art projects for children ages 4-14.
