I am a highly motivated, positive, capable and supportive individual with a strong work ethic combined with creative ability. My current role as a BAA at Surfdome has encouraged me in my ambition to progress as a Fashion Buyer. I am looking for a new challenge in a bigger organisation in order to broaden my buying skills.
- Managing 20 brands across surf and skate, including Dryrobe, Oakley and Ray-Ban optics, Enuff and Mindless. Placing and raising Spring Summer and Autumn Winter Pre-Orders involving working within a budget. - For all 120 brands, regular analysis of sales and actioning reorders to ensure stock levels are maintained and sales are maximised. - Managing and booking in stock, chasing brands for late deliveries and providing general assistance to all brands. - Maintaining and updating the critical path with delivery dates and trade terms. - Liaising and building strong relationships with external suppliers and internal departments. - Creating and presenting ‘Trend’ presentations for each season. - Managing the order books for Quiksilver, Rip Curl, Roxy and Burton which are in the top 10 most profitable brands for Surfdome. - Putting together Black Friday clearance orders (Billabong costing 56k and Quiksilver 100k). - Providing the Marketing team with key information on which brands to push, including best sellers and slow selling lines as well as finding brand assets for them to use. - Working with brands to organise giveaways and brand competitions to increase customer engagement. - Liaising with the warehouse on a daily basis to resolve delivery issues or queries. - Working with the studio to ensure images and descriptions are presented correctly. - Highly proficient user of systems such as Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- I am a warm and engaging person so I would enthusiastically help customers choose and find the perfect outfit. - Gained a huge amount of customer insight into what styles, designs and prints were popular or slow selling.
- Worked across departments - Occasion wear and Party, Relaxed Evening, Resort, Relaxed Day, Accessories. - Completed a competitor shop where I identified the key trends and price points and presented to the team. - Attended fit meetings, collected samples for meetings and organised and ran a sample sale.
- Allocator for the dresses department which was the biggest department in terms of stock and profitability. - Planned and allocated styles to the UK (171 stores) and international markets (over 140 locations).
Management with Marketing (BA): First Class Honours Degree. Including a First in my dissertation which was titled: 'From a fashion industry perspective, identify how waste can be reduced in an apparel supply chain to improve sustainability performance and gain a competitive advantage.'
