About me
I’m currently a first year student studying BA Magazine Journalism and Publishing at LCC. I come from a fashion background regarding previous studies and have a great interest in styling and photography however, I'm also incredibly confident in my writing and story telling abilities. As an adaptable and quick learner, I’m looking for a variety of opportunities in the creative space; I offer strong communication skills and am confident working both independently and in team.

Throughout my time on this course as someone who typically works more independently, having the opportunity to collaborate with likeminded creatives gave me an immense amount of confidence when approaching group discussions from a leadership role. I spent a great deal of time in the photography studio working on shoots for my own projects, curating everything from styling to lighting was a highlight for me as it allowed me to get experimental and have some fun. I'm an incredibly quick learner which definitely works in my favour when in an artistic space, I then moved on to photo editing and typography using Adobe after working on fabric manipulation as part of a charity project in collaboration with Teeside Hospice. I up cycled and styled pre-loved materials/clothing and made it into a wearable garment that was showcased on the runway in our campus which allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and think outside of the box. I completed two final major projects, one for each year of my course, which taught me how to manage my time effectively in the creative space; for one particular aspect of my project I looked introspectively at the pop culture scene and out thriving digital age as a way to build a bridge between my magazine and it's target audience. I wanted readers to feel inspired and vocalise the unspoken rules we unanimously set and take a step further in debating if they really have purpose. Alongside my studies, I effectively balanced my personal responsibilities of part-time employment which was challenging but ultimately helped me delegate my time meaningfully.
