Lead Nail Technician As part of their recent relocation, an internal staff salon was created within the new Estee Lauder head office in central London. Prior to the office opening, I was recruited to provide high quality nail services to not only the head office staff within the building, but also to any visiting Estee Lauder employees and guests from across the globe. After joining the team, I also supported the set up and planning for the new salon and the internal staff store. Key Responsibilities: • Providing premium quality nail services to clients within the Estee Lauder head office with a high attention to detail. • Managing all nail stock and resources within the salon e.g. monthly stock takes and stock level adjustments and stock ordering. • Efficiently managing the salon diary regarding all customer bookings and promoting return clients. • Supporting teams with any special events, e.g. charity events, photoshoots and press events with key influencers for brand promotion. • Effectively utilizing a weekly year to date report to indicate busy weeks and promote the salon at both peak and non-peak times e.g. award nights, brand events and seasonal holidays. • Being a professional and friendly representative for Estee Lauder when staff and guests visit the head office.
Owner / Operator After completing my Certificate II in Nail Technology, I wanted to find somewhere in Brisbane that offered nail art services with character and with the option of custom nail art. At the time, there weren’t any nail art bars that offered this, so I decided to open Trophy Wife Nails in Brisbane and provide these services to clients. I focused on providing excellent customer service to all clients, as well as thorough and meticulous nail art. Back of House Assistant & Store Administration Assistant As a back of house assistant in the Brisbane Topshop/Topman store after having started with the team since its successful opening in 2013, I improved my leadership and time management skills while gaining a thorough understanding and appreciation of the stores operations. Key Responsibilities: • Processing deliveries in a timely manner with a high attention to detail, security tagging, pricing, overseeing new product arrivals, whilst building extensive product knowledge and ensuring all merchandise is ready to be placed on the shop floor, storing away excess stock, supplying the visual merchandising team with ratios, and general cleaning duties. • Effectively utilizing a daily top seller report to replenish the stock on the shop floor. • Safe and register count, banking audit, markdown reports, collecting and processing inter-business transfers and recalls, workplace health and safety (WHS) reports and store maintenance inspections and reporting. • Team training and development, mini-stock takes, stock level adjustments including soiled and damaged items and write-offs.
Research Assistant My primary role as a research assistant was to aid the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science by improving the content of science courses taught at UQ. This included: analyzing student feedback, providing advice and assistance with developing learning materials and conducting scientific experiments. My role helped to provide a greater and more effective learning experience for students looking to progress their studies in science.
