• Grayson Perry BearI was given a random material and artist in which i had to create an outcome of my choice which linked the two. I received 'Fabric and Grayson Perry.' Through research i found that Grayson had himself done a lot with fabric and also pottery and that his outer appearance made him stand out from other artists. My final outcome was to create a teddy bear with colourful insides to represent Grayson Perry Himself as he has explained he dresses as a woman due to his low self esteem and a small bear to symbolise the bear Grayson keeps with him.
• Tree Interior DesignPainted on the wall above my parents fireplace, I designed a tree that was being blown by the wind. The colours were chosen to match the living room. Used as a centrepiece for the room.
• The New Yorker 'Hoarding' CoverAfter reading an article on hoarding I had to create the front cover illustration for the New York times to link with the article within. I thought abut different ideas of things in which humans hoard and then i began to take it in a different direction and researched animals that hoard instead. My cover then used an animal as a representation of 'excessive hoarders.'
• Marine Reserves EditorialThis project was to create an illustration to accompany the article explaining that the marine reserve areas are in danger of over fishing and how the government were in breach of their promise to create marine protection zones. I decided after development that the fish skeletons were most effective in bringing the point of the article across.
• Scaredy Cat Graphic NovelThis graphic novel was based off a story in which i was read when i was little, it was about about a cat who dressed up in order to scare the other farm animals, it was called 'Scaredy Cat.' I altered the story and characters to suit my desired audience of teenagers and young adults. The story was adapted to a girl who was nicknamed 'Scaredy Cat' as she was so quiet and she goes to get revenge on the people who have wronged her in life.
• Bloody Chamber Book Covers and Inside IllustrationFor this project I created two book covers for the collection of short fiction by Angela Carter called 'The Bloody Chamber.' An inside illustration was also created. The book covers had to sum up the overall theme and aesthetic of the stories whilst the inside full page illustration has to link to one single short story of my choice.
