Assisting the Curation of up coming Young Masters Arts events - Hanging works, fixing lights - Assist in the planning, organisation of Young Masters exhibitions and events. +Understanding floor plans +Creating Floor plans +Working to deadlines - Assist with writing proposals, fundraising and securing sponsorship. - Work on PR and marketing including social media. + Using Hootsuite + Keeping up to date with events + Updating press releases - Produce publications and printed materials where relevant. + using Word, Photoshop and Illustrator - Artist Liaison. + managing a group of artists + Correspondance + Negotiation on price and arrival of works - Organise logistics, shipping, transport and hanging of artworks. - Researching artists and future projects for the Young Masters Art Prize. - Assist with installation and take down of exhibitions. - Documenting projects and update the website. - Work at events, assisting with sales. - Administrative duties + email, telephone database and diary management
Mandinga Arts Archive and Administration Assistant (Internship 4 Months): Mandinga Arts is a small but busy outdoor carnival arts Arts Council England NPO organization. My role can be split into categories: • Archive and Collections Management - Working with the creative director and cataloging the 20year collection. Working from my own time schedule designing the database. Designing and curating the storage space as well as contracting new structures built within the space. • Admin- day-to-day (filing, ordering, updating databases and upkeep of stationary/ other supplies) and responding to general enquires via phone, post and email. • Project Management – Assisting the Company Project Manager in creating the schedule, contracts, call sheets and budget for St. Patrick’s Day Parade. • Marketing - Putting together press releases, leaflets and contacting press on behalf of Mandinga. • Research – For both Art Directors • Events Management – Organizing, contacting press and managing other members to do with the LOFF organization. This was for the LOFF launch.
• Working closely with the Artistic directors to ensure that Mandinga’s section of the carnival is presented to a high and professional standard • First point of contact for performers and crew members • Liaise with other organisations involved with the GBC via telephone and email • Organise and manage the logistics of the arrival of performers, call times and costume assembly according to the schedule • Responsible for inventory checks and updates, ensuring vehicles are packed with equipment • Strict time and schedule management • Updating production documents • Responding quickly and calmly to requests from performers and crew and change in schedule • Chasing any lose ends prior and during the event • Responsible for 30 performers and crew
