I’m a journalist/copywriter. While I have an affinity for music journalism, having gained a first-class degree in Multimedia Journalism I’m well-versed in various areas, and platforms. I have three years’ experience in student radio, one as Head of Journalism, and another as Station Manager, as well as four years contributing for Gigslutz.co.uk (where I was Editor-In-Chief from 2017-2018), interviewing the likes of Martha Reeves, Cage The Elephant and an endless stream of up and coming musicians, reviewing live events from The Stone Roses to Bestival, to tiny local gigs. Alongside this, I’ve written freelance for various magazines and websites like Future Nation Sounds and EastLDN.com, as well as writing copy for London-based start-ups and as part of a copy/marketing internship at Digital Branding agency Rufus Leonard.

- Music Brand Experience - Part 2Following on from how music informs our experience in eateries, we’re looking at how it plays a role in the office – starting with our own. And so he did – and since then Mr. Sakamoto has become chief playlister for Kajitsu. The story
- Just A Groupie - Why are women in music still not being taken seriously? As student Summer Hathaway so delicately put it in 2003 movie School of Rock: “I researched groupies on the internet. They’re sluts, they sleep with the band.” Whether they are or not, the word groupie is synonymous with the idea of an obsessive fan girl, the kind who sets out only to sleep with band members. So why is such a nickname thrown around so frivolously, and women in music – whether as a fan or professional – dismissed as groupies? Women being involved in the industry is nothing new. I
