About me
I am an enthusiastic fashion marketing and branding graduate with experience and knowledge in social media, which has been developed through my degree at Nottingham Trent University. I am still young and am very willing to learn and take on challenges to grow as an individual and professional. Currently, I am looking for positions within small businesses in marketing and social media management, preferably tailored to the fashion industry. I am keen to utilise my skills and knowledge to gain experience within the industry and be part of a team building a brand best suited to its customers. I am excited to learn new things about the industry I am passionate about, along with learning through mistakes and improving myself. Diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at the age of 20 and 22, I am still learning about myself and how my neurodivergence sets me aside and allows me to think uniquely, something I see as a gift. Being bilingual with an English mother and French father has shown me the beauty and importance of language from a very young age. As a humanitarianist, I am incredibly passionate about sustainable and ethical manufacturing. I believe it is necessary for brands to strive to be as sustainable as possible in everything they do, with the care and compassion of their workers at the heart of the brand values. I am excited to be a part of a team, working together and building from one another skills and experience to create projects everyone can be proud of that will target the right customer for their needs and build the brand up. Presently, I am working part-time as a TA at a special needs school, using my experience to support children with extra needs. In my own time, I am building my knowledge and skills in the fashion industry through research, creative thinking and software practice. I aim to become as confident and knowledgeable as possible within my chosen field of work so that when I find an opportunity best suited to me, I can work to the best of my ability.

  • WhatsOn student guide fashion page
WhatsOn student guide fashion pageThrough a personal connection, I acquired work experience as a volunteer, creating and editing the fashion page within the magazine WhatsOn from October 2022 to March 2023. I learnt just how precise someone in my position has to be in researching new trends and what gets picked to be featured.

Currently, I am using my skills, knowledge and personal experience to help support children who require extra learning support. Working part-time doing something positive to help children in my community is something I have always wanted to do. Although it is not my career choice to work with special needs children, I am grateful that in my time preparing myself for my first position in my chosen career field, I am able to use my current skills in helping children, similar to me when I was young.

     - Nottingham, United KingdomPart Time
After moving to Nottingham for university, I obtained a job with Nurturecare, caring for a young disabled adult in the evenings and occasionally at weekends. I became very close with this young lady and understood her needs so well that when the family changed care companies to Trent Nursing, they asked me to change with them to stay with them, which is what I did.

A degree in my chosen field has not only provided me knowledge within the fashion industry but sociology, psychology, environmental issues, politics and world news/ debates. University has helped direct me towards the niche industry I want to explore in my career, which is environmental and ethical brands that are very much team-based and work collaboratively with their customers. I aim to be a part of the team innovating the fashion industry towards 100% sustainable and ethical production.

Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and DesignSouth staffordshire college
     - Lichfield, United Kingdom
After completing my A levels, I enrolled at South Staffs College in Lichfield, where I gained a level three art and design foundation diploma. I knew I wanted to study fashion at university. However, I wasn't sure specifically what degree. Therefore I decided to complete this diploma in order for me to have access to all my preferred options. I attended college on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday while working part-time at Barclays bank. As it was an arts-based diploma, I could think more freely, allowing me to develop skills in creativity. This has helped me with my university degree as I understand that the key to innovation is an open creative mind.
