About me
In 2019, I graduated with a First Class English Language degree with little-to-no knowledge of the creative industry. Now, just three years later, I'm employed as a full-time Content Creator with an overwhelming passion to create for audiences that represent people like me and what I stand for. My desire to venture into the creative industry came after co-founding my podcast 'Go Off, Sis' in 2019. As a black woman in the North of England, I often felt left out of creative spaces and conversations, and soon realised that if this space didn't exist, then I had to create it for myself. Within my current position as Black Ballad’s Content Creator, I have continued to thrive and grow. In less than two years I have successfully produced, directed and edited a range of written and visual content for both the company and global brands. Outside of work, I host a monthly radio show on a local Liverpool station, Melodic Distraction. My show, Mum I'm On The Radio, has reached multiple global charts on Mixcloud. I am always looking to create and I'm open to ideas for how I can collaborate with other creatives - so please get in touch! I am passionate about highlighting and amplifying the voices and experiences of black northern women, and make sure to do this inside and outside of my work. I also enjoy exploring beauty, fashion and identity through the content I produce. I have started to gain experience in Creative Direction and Shoot Production, looking to gain more so please feel free to get in touch with any opportunities.
