After achieving my degree in Media production and technology I instantly started working as a technical runner on several BBC productions in Manchester. It was then that I was able to put my lifelong love of cameras into practical action. Not longer after I started my career in the camera department in TV as a camera assistant.
As an a camera assistant I have covered most genres on location shoots and within the studio for a range of production companies and channels. It was this knowledge that then allowed me to start working as a self-shooting researcher. This role gave me the opportunity to start planning and writing for shoots, which I could then go on to shoot.
Whilst working my way up within TV, as a freelancer I started creating my own videography content in between contracts. This started out as creating content for local creative brands and led to me working for established events companies coordinating multi-camera shoots for their client's video content.
Over the past few years I have been working as a camera operator predominantly with my videography on the side for projects and brands that I have been particularly passionate about to allow my videography portfolio to build.
I have recently made the move from Manchester to London to focus entirely on Videography as this is where my real enjoyment lies. I love being able to create my own content and work alongside different people and brands to combine both visions to create sound video content. Over the years I have been able to develop my own style of videography which has been driven by the rise and importance of social media.
