(Main Duties)
• To liaise with Film Production and Acting & Performance to plan pre-production, production and post production for a large number of short films.
• To liaise with Film Production and Acting to create shooting schedules and manage the production process from day-to-day
• To assist in the co-ordination of graduate screenings and performances (including a London venue).
• To promote and organise the graduate shows including invitations (database needed), hospitality and production
• To assist on other performance and screening evenings at The Maltings and UCA.
• To assist staff in liaising with outside bodies, locations, hiring equipment, dealing with film laboratories and insurance matters.
• To assist with risk assessment, health and safety for student and staff led productions.
• Develop and prepare online materials for the students to access via myUCA and the course website including all relevant production forms.
• To attend committees and working groups as required e.g. Course Boards and Resource Groups.
• To maintain adequate stock levels of consumables and in consultation with the budget holder, raise purchase orders with the Finance Clerk, and take deliveries.
• To manage and update the physical and electronic archive of student work, including monitoring loans to staff and students and maintaining the database.
• To assist staff, occasionally, in logistical or event planning not already mentioned above.
• (Other Duties):
• Self-appraise and pursue, with the aid of an annual PDR, a plan for personal and Continuing Professional Development.
• Undertake other University responsibilities appropriate to the efficient operation of the University and commensurate with the post and grade.
• To be available either in the base location or the designated areas, and be contactable by phone and email.
• To work within University guidelines including those for the allocation of duties, authorisation of hours of work, sickness, annual leave etc.
• To carry out all work in accordance with the University Health and Safety policies and procedures.
