the Atelier BNP Paribas is the bank’s startup incubator and innovation hub. Throughout my experience at L’Atelier BNP Paribas, I worked as a Service Designer, a new consulting methodology that enables companies to adapt to digital transformation, through co-working and co-designing the new customer experience. It implies creating a product or service which will satisfy and challenge clients’ pain points, whilst applying technical knowledge through experimentation, adopting an agile methodology. We would create new products and services for the bank and its customers, to help their digital transformation using design thinking methodologies. Throughout the whole internship I was challenged to bring out my full potential. During the first months I became in charge of leading a service design workshop for an internal client of BNP Paribas in Florence, Italy. I collaborated with professional user experience designers from the Politecnico University of Milan and ultimately delivered a keynote on the future of the consumer credit industry in front of the whole management of such company, composed by more than a hundred members. This experience allowed me to blend both my business know-how and creativity and taught me how to work under really tight deadlines, work within a team composed by members of different cultures and backgrounds (from graphic designers to developers and consultants) how to manage and relate to real clients and ultimately how to organize and lead a whole service design workshop.

This master, in partnership with Bain&Company and Henkel, has taught me how to really manage group projects and pushed me to develop a strategic and analytical mindset. We worked in extremely high-pressure situations, delivering projects for real companies namely Wayfair, Zalando, Bain&Company, Allianz and Henkel, in the time-spam of 2 to 3 days. Working in such situations made me understand how through consistency, hard work, determination and resilience, one can really reach its objectives and never give up.

     - Reading, United Kingdom
As an Italian student, who studied in a French high school in Rome, completed a Bachelor in the UK, and now living in Berlin I learnt how to adapt and overcome challenges with a calm, organized and focused approach. My Bachelor, in the UK, was a 4-year Business and Management course with a placement year, which is a year-long paid work experience. I decided on this optional pathway to challenge myself further, but mostly to experience different industries to understand in which field to specialize thereafter.
