About me
European Creative Director at Jung von Matt in Berlin on BMW's MINI Europe, and Thomas Cook Airlines, among others. Jung von Matt is Global Independent Agency of the Year at New York Festivals 2018. Prior to this, I was the Executive Creative Director of GMP/Jung von Matt, the largest Romanian independent agency, twice awarded under my creative leadership Independent Agency of New Europe by Golden Drum, the main creative festival in CEE. GMP is also the highest-ranking Romanian independent agency in the Global Effie Effectiveness Index and the Gunn Report. I have also created work and coordinated teams in big network offices like BBDO Bucharest and BBDO Berlin. I have led the creative output of BBDO Bucharest and help them win their first Agency of the Year title at the local ADC Awards and Effie Awards, respectively. I have worked across a multitude of accounts from local to global, covering all types of categories from finance and automotive to FMCG and telecom. I've been a regional creative director on Whiskas and a group creative director on the Allianz Worldwide team. All the above roles have been client-facing at a top level. I was fortunate enough to serve as a jury member in various international festivals among which NYF, the Intercontinental Cup, AdStars, AutoVision, ADCE and Eurobest, a jury president at Golden Drum, and to win over 100 medals at local and international awards including Clio, New York Festivals, One Show, Art Directors Club of Europe Awards, EPICA, Effie Awards, Eurobest and D&AD. I love creating content at the speed of culture. I gave a cheeky answer to the British Government with a campaign developed overnight that went on to win the Eurobest Grand Prix in PR. Later on, I fought post-Brexit xenophobia with empathy. I have transformed cans into billboards to make the Instagram generation fall in love with world’s greatest brand again. I have made UEFA change their mind and I have used tech to turn a historical landmark into a historic statement and won a recent Yellow Pencil in the process. I am currently teaching integrated advertising at Miami Ad School Berlin. Previously, I have been a teacher at the Art Directors Club School and the Cannes Lions Academy.
