Initial Stages:
Embark on a program of research and discovery around the user base for Universal Music and associated record labels. Create personas, user stories, user journeys, wireframes, visual mock-ups, Interactive prototypes and host testing workshops.
Software used includes: Adobe Creative Suite, Adode XD, Framer, Flinto, Figma, Zeplin, Axure, Sketch, Principle and Invision.
The Project:
Design Studio Hub App
Worked closely with the CEO business lead, record label’s, producers and within an Agile framework, design a mobile-first app that would allow record producers and A&R to set up studio recordings, manage contributors, songs and sessions. Undertake continuous improvements and introduce new features to help enhance usability.
Design Rights Hub App
Design Rights Hub App to allow producers and labels to search, store and manage the many recording contracts across UMG.
Design Archives App
Design the Archives App to allow sound technicians to create, search and manage archived digital and physical assets (albums). Ability to upload, various audio formats, to preview and manage credits and album artwork.
Design Release Workspace App
Design the Supply Chain App. RWS allows the release of assets out to market within the digital realms for platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple Music and Spotify generating millions of dollars for the music industry. This project is a key part of the business and allows staggered release rights across a complex worldwide timeline.
