Work history

Blaze Arts is a music & arts charity which looks to inspire, educate and support the next generation of Young Producers. In early 2021, I redesigned their Brand Identity alongside Blaze’s Programme Leader, Director, Young Producers and Trustees. With young people at the forefront of their work, I built, organised and co-ordinated a series of workshops which got their Young Producers involved within the design process of rebranding Blaze Arts’ identity. The Young Producers hand drawn shapes built the logo and brand assets for Blaze, alongside a beautiful typeface and bright, lively and inspiring colour set. Their new logo is featured on Blaze’s social media profiles, their website, merchandise, standing banners, personalised email footers, business cards, way finding and all their branded promotional assets. In 2022, Blaze asked me to produce Stand Out’s identity for the Young Producers upcoming exhibition and research project based around the LGBTQ+ scene in Burnley, Lancashire. The Stand Out logo was inspired by found archival Gay Times magazines which were prevalent back in the day, to give the LGBTQ+ scene a voice. Now, the Young Producers have a voice too, which was exhibited in Burnley Library earlier this year, alongside bookmarks, flyers, zines, a huge protest banner that features the Stand Out logo that was hand-drawn by the Young Producers and their incredible exhibited outcomes that celebrated the loud expression of culture.

Alongside United by Design, I have collaboratively worked on with a huge variety of clients. BrewYork is a major part of my work with United by Design, with my Creative Director, I have designed over 80 craft beer cans for their seasonal beers, as well as designed assets for Social Media, Printed Posters and Keg Lenses. We’ve built brand identities for York Unlocked, Archiving the Inner City (University of York) and York Design Week. Alongside these projects, United by Design & I have also created a core range for Ainsty Ales’s Lager Collection which features an illustration drawn by me and collaboratively designed typographic hierarchy and iconography.
