My role was in the Events Operations Department of the Savoy Hotel, London. I was primarily involved in supporting events of all shapes and sizes, from intimate birthday gatherings, to large scale galas or industry congresses.
My responsibilities often included:
- Set-up of event space prior to arrival of clients.
- Welcoming guests, who are often high profile.
- Service of food and beverage as required.
- Clearing of space and prep for next event (n.b there were often numerous events occurring simultaneously or in quick succession so flexibility and planning required).
