About me
I am a content strategist and writer with 6+ years experience in driving sustainability communications and engagement for luxury brands through considered and holistic storytelling. With experience working across consumer, corporate and academic audiences, I can support organisations, teams or projects in connecting ideas and stories that add up to a broader picture of their purpose and overarching narrative - bringing a creative yet critical mindset to each project.
Most recently at Bamford, I developed the brand’s sustainability messaging and tone of voice to meet increasing consumer demand for transparency, delivering multi-platform content and editorial projects to support the brand's evolution and expansion whilst staying true to its founding purpose. My work on shaping the narrative for the Home-grown Merino collection was instrumental in securing the brand’s successful application for 'Product Innovation of the Year', which Bamford was awarded at the Positive Luxury Awards 2022.
A Masters in Innovation Management at UAL Central Saint Martins has sharpened my ability to transform opportunities into actionable and creative strategies for change, matching big-picture thinking with an eye for detail and implementation. My dissertation research combines my passion for driving sustainability forward at scale with my experience in the consumer marketing space: applying a critical lens to sustainability communications practice, I investigate the changing cultural narratives around the climate crisis and advocate for the shift towards regenerative principles and strategies for innovation.
Projects
- Fortune TellusAs part of the UAL Climate Emergency Network event for Earth Day 2022, 'Appetite for Justice', we developed a card game which turns the table on the traditional fortune telling experience. The set of cards features four unseen forces of change - Archetypes, Energies, Visions, Narratives - that the participant turns over one-by-one to guide them through a process of revealing possible futures to themselves. The prototype was developed by Molly Simpson and Purvisha Sutaria, both students of MA Inn
- Home-grown Merino CollectionThe Home-grown Merino Collection is the first merino wool knitwear collection to be made entirely from natural fibres that have been grown sheared, spun and knitted in the UK. The merino flock at Daylesford Organic farm in Gloucestershire produced the wool for the collection, which travelled no further than 639 miles from farm to shop. Bamford was awarded the 'Product Innovation of the Year' award at the Positive Luxury Awards 2022 for the Home-grown Merino Collection which launched in November
- Molly With A Why (personal blog)This corner of the internet provides me with a space to articulate and embellish the thoughts inside my head, which, as a philosophy graduate, are unceasing and unlimited.
