A dedicated, organised and friendly freelance costume maker/trainee who has a first class BA degree with honours in Costume Design & Construction from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
I have experience of working in several roles professionally in the costume department from Costume Trainee, to Wardrobe Deputy to Costume Supervisor. I have strong skills in cutting, making, sourcing and budgeting, dressing and wardrobe management in both Theatre and Film. I am looking to further develop these skills and broaden my knowledge.

I am the sole costume maker for the 5* award winning tourist attraction ‘The Real Mary Kings Close’ situated on the royal mile, Edinburgh. I work as freelance and I am contacted if old costumes and accessories need to be fixed or if an entirely new costume needs to be made completely. Using pattern books such as Janet Arnold Patterns of Fashion, I draft the costumes from scratch, conduct fittings, make the costumes, and deliver them to The Mary Kings Close.

Wardrobe Deputy for Crossroads Live (formerly QDOS) 2021 Pantomime of ‘Cinderella’ staged at the Kings Theatre, Glasgow. Assisted Head of Wardrobe in fittings, alterations and general run/ organisation and maintenance of the show as well as being Cinderella’s dresser. When the Head of Wardrobe was ill, I organised and reassigned tracks between the dressers and myself to cover the Head of Wardrobe’s track to ensure the show continued to run smoothly.
