Monique has always had something to say political or artistic since young. Having grown up in London, she was inspired with the confidence to be the person she is today. But like many of us, Monique constantly grapples (and still does constantly), with the feeling of being a weird individual and the confusion of being a young adult. She is however equally curious and loving of life nonetheless, (despite it being unpredictable af), and tries to emphasise this in her visual communication, and the stories she brings to life through imagery.
She fulfils a blog to share with people the following themes:
- Her Creative Direction; industry projects and self-initiated independent projects
- A safe wordy place, for people who too might feel like they don’t fit into any box at all
- How to own our strangeness, which we can’t quite define
- To continue the discussion on social issues we may not understand or have knowledge of
- Shed light on upcoming artists, who are expressing feelings she and you may be feeling too
- How to style fire outfits, and where to buy the fire in the first place
All under the broad umbrella of living in this generation and the very real struggles of it.
Activism is also a large proportionate of Monique’s heart, so her content features support and advice, for underrepresented communities such as minority people and the LGBT+ community. She aspires to lead and change positively, even if it is one strange piece of content at a time.
Monique is a versatile creative, with a CV full of styling employment, photography, creative direction, commissioned writing and production projects, acting credentials and additionally modelling experience, for high-end clients including Channel 4, Capital XTRA and London Fashion Week.
