London, United Kingdom
January 2019, a group of volunteers met with the aim of creating a fairer and more representative audio production industry in response to Ofcom's Diversity & Equal Opportunities in Broadcasting Report.
The Multitrack Fellowship was born.
In our first year five Fellows from London graduated from the scheme. Three went on to win commissions for a half hour documentary broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
In 2021 the scheme expanded to outside of London to Manchester, Liverpool and Bristol The 2022 Fellowship was the largest and most widespread to date, hosting fellows in 5 major UK cities.
The Fellowship is core to our organisation, but Multitrack is more than just that.
We provide networking events, support, advice and resources to aspiring producers and production companies. We are always looking for creative ways to engage the industry, amplify underrepresented producers, and promote equity and fairness.
