    - Responsible for creating leading integrated publicity and marketing campaigns for all Thread titles. This includes my PPC-shortlisted campaign for My Mother, Munchausen’s and Me by Helen Naylor. Coverage included interviews on ITV’s This Morning, R4’s Saturday Live, The Telegraph Magazine, The Sun and Mail Online. • Manage the brand building strategy for Thread, with the aim of reaching new audiences and driving sales. This includes working very closely with the Marketing Department on developing a new website and social media strategy. I have led Thread strategy sessions and presented our strategic goals and initiatives for the year internally to the rest of Bookouture. • Work closely with the Octopus sales team (as part of our print partnership with Octopus), presenting PR plans in Launch meetings and liaising with them on relevant sales opportunities. • Meet with journalists and festival organisers to pitch Thread’s authors and build a rapport with them. • Organise and pitch authors for relevant events (online and virtual) E.g. Gail Muller, author of Unlost was in Conversation with Giovanna Fletcher at Cheltenham Literature Festival to a sold out audience of 200 people. • Oversee the maintenance and expansion of Thread’s influencer and reviewer database. • In charge of all internal and external Thread communications, including liaising with the trade press. • Read submissions weekly and feedback in-house in Acquisitions meetings and actively contribute to pitches. • Keep up to date with developments in the media industry, with a particular focus on expanding my knowledge of non-traditional media and specialist press. This includes creating an internal Podcast Database, collating key information for potential author opportunities.

    • Deliver strategic publicity campaigns for our non-fiction titles, securing proven sales-driving publicity slots. This includes my double PPC-shortlisted campaign for Lunar Living by Kirsty Gallagher. • Deliver strategic publicity campaigns for brand (and future brand) fiction titles, with the aim of growing sales and raising author profiles, including for Isabelle Broom and John Connolly. • Currently support the Publicity Director across a range of lead titles, including collaborating on the big non-fiction titles of the autumn. Most notably with My Penguin Year by Lindsay McCrae. • Keep up to date with developments in the media industry, with a particular focus on expanding my knowledge of non-traditional media and specialist press. This includes creating an internal Podcast Database, collating key information for potential author opportunities and also incorporating specialist press as a key part of my campaigns, most notably, with Tristan Gooley’s latest book The Secret World of Weather. • Collaborate with brands to further raise the profile of authors, including working Lululemon for the Lunar Living campaign and with Osprey and Ellis Brigham for The Secret World of Weather. • Read submissions weekly and feedback in-house in Acquisitions meetings and actively contribute to pitches. • Attend authors meetings with the editor, marketer and sales colleagues to discuss plans for the campaign with the author and agent/manager. • Work closely with Editorial, Sales, Marketing and Rights to ensure a strategically coordinated campaign. This includes attending ‘task force’ meetings to discuss plans for the campaign. • Meet with journalists and festival organisers to pitch Hodder’s titles.
