One month placement, from 1st-25th August, reviewing comedy shows during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2014. I was sent a list of shows to review by the Comedy Editor and had to liaise with the relevant PR's in order to arrange a date to review the show. During this time I had three reviews published on The Skinny's website of Abigoliah Schamaun, Sameena Zehra and Alistair Green
Two week placement at Dazed and Confused magazine, from 14th-25th July, mainly assisting the deputy editor and online editor researching for online and print articles and contacting potential interviewees, coming up with interesting questions for upcoming interviews, proofreading and sub-editing copy for online and print, organising and uploading content on to the magazine’s website through CMS, taking minutes at editorial meetings and transcribing interviews. During this time I had one fashion news article and one film feature published on Dazed & Confused's website.
I wrote a weekly fashion column entitled 'This Week In Fashion' for Scotcampus' website.
A two week placement from 24th-28th June and 29th July-2nd August 2013. During my internship, I reported mainly to the online editor, assisting with researching and writing online music and fashion articles, transcribing interviews and organising 'New Noise' and 'Emerging' profiles. During this time, I had one fashion and one new music article, as well as two New Noise features, with Holy Esque and Scenic, published on Wonderland's website.
I wrote a review of Charli XCX's debut album 'True Romance' for The List's website.
I mainly wrote album and live reviews for IAreYeti.com but also had two interviews with local bands published as well. One month placement, from 3rd-26th August, as a Production Runner at the BBC Potterow site during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2012. During this time I worked alongside visiting production teams from BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Live, 6 Music and BBC Three, mainly assisting with set up, ticket distribution, audience management and promotional flyering.
