Hello, I am Namrata, an Indian designer and illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Stylistically my images have a distinctive colour palette, bold distilled shapes, and a soft, contemplative quality. Clients include Health Magazine, Melinda Gates, Space 10 (IKEA), Grazia, Talkspace, and FoodCorp.
I graduated from Pratt with M.S. in communication design and for a decade have been part of design teams at companies like Time Inc., The Knot Worldwide, Lasting, and Talkspace, simultaneously burning the midnight oil working on illustration commissions. I took a plunge in 2021 to start illustrating and making my art full-time.
In 2013, I co-founded an accessories/apparel company in the fashion and technology space called The Brooklyn Block.
