About me

I am currently working as a freelance Sound Assistant with CGTN (Chinese Global Television Network) Europe in London, a post I have held since September last year. Working for CGTN, I have gained extensive experience troubleshooting technical issues in a fast-paced live studio. I have expertise using the audio desk to mix microphone and video sound as well as external audio from foreign correspondents during live news shows. I have played a hands-on role setting up radio microphones, IEM transmitters and in-gallery comms systems for Black Lives Matter discussion panels and interviews discussing the Opioid Crisis. While working as Sound Assistant, I have continually contributed to the successful running of the studio by providing administrative assistance, including designing the master spreadsheets for all teams using Google Suites, and booking international broadcast location signals for foreign correspondents between Beijing, London and Washington for the main control room for live interviews. As well as this, I have 5 months experience working along side the global Music & Entertainment team at Fuse PR Agency. Here I created artist research for the 2019 UEFA Championships Final performance. I also provided in-depth industry landscape reports for senior members of the team. This include confidential decks and researched data (PowerPoint and excel) for activations for the Levi’s, Tuborg, PepsiCo and YouTube accounts.
