About me
I am a dedicated and hands-on individual with a passion for publishing. I have strong communicative and organisational skills, and the self-motivation to develop my personal strengths within a workplace environment. I also have the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines whilst prioritising tasks effectively. I am a graduate of English Language and Literature, with a specified interest in gendered written and oral communication and women’s literature, seeking an entry-level position in the publishing sector.

Work history
    Publishing Assistant
    Guildford, United KingdomFull Time
My role as a publishing assistant at AQA consisted of working alongside multiple publishers to ensure the approval processes of our publishing schedules remained on track. My responsibilities included liaising with publishers to meet different queries and issues, as well as involving myself with stakeholders, reviewers, content, marketing and digital teams and pay roll to ensure the delivery of our processes. This role required me to be highly organised with great attention to detail, to ensure our approval process ran smoothly and my individual workload was managed.

LMO is London’s finest multimedia orchestra, and has been engaged by all the major Hollywood studios, TV companies and record companies worldwide. My duties include basic graphic design, photography and filming for the company website, as well as general assistant duties to the managing director. This opportunity has allowed me to gain valuable experience in working in a professional industry, as well as developing my skills in photography and filming. I also help with some aspects of LMO’s social media management, posting on twitter for an upcoming event and updating the LMO website blog with short written pieces about the event.
