My experience working at Red magazine allowed me to understand and practice being in a fashion magazine environment. I was able to sit in on weekly brief meetings, discussing upcoming feature ideas. I worked mainly on the Redonline website therefore I am very familiar with the use of CMS and understand the ways in which stories and pieces have to be tailored and structured differently when writing for online.
I was responsible for restyling certain features that had originally been used in print and were now required for publishing on line, this involved editing down the pieces and at times finding new accompanying media to ensure the piece was relevant and worked online.
Alongside this I took on general office tasks such as delivering mail, transcribing interviews and at times copywriting.
