As a music programming intern my main task is uploading, editing and updating spreadsheets for tracks considered for the X-Posure and Radio X Daytime playlists. This involves using GSelector, Genesys and Adobe Audition to ensure tracks are correctly edited and on the system for airplay consideration. Other tasks include creating a 'Zero Plays Report', checking tracks for sensitive content and profanity and updating the playlist info document to be discussed weekly in pluggers playlist meetings. Aside from my main tasks I am involved in event assistance and artist liaison - most recently I assisted at the Catfish and The Bottlemen gig for Radio X in Sheffield. Additionally, I am responsible for booking in sessions and collating release forms and crew lists.

Furthermore, for London Fashion Week Men’s SS19, I interned for casting director Emilie Astrom at Creartvt as to find all the models for runway shows, such as Sharon Wauchob. This role has been perhaps the most intensive and demanding I have undertaken but was the best opportunity I’ve ever taken. My roles as an intern included: taking polaroids of each model, printing headshots, tracking which models have been seen and domestic tasks for my superiors. Further to this experience, I interned for Piotr Chamier at the most recent LFW and aided with the casting of Peter Pilotto and Shrimps shows for their AW19 collections. This new experience in casting gave me the opportunity to use InDesign and Photoshop to make model profiles to present to each client. Most recently, I assisted the casting at Paris Fashion Week Men’s for the SS20 Rochas and Lanvin shows. Working in Paris and with such high-profile brands certainly put my knowledge of casting to the test but extended it and gave me an insight to the more administrative side of casting, such as 1st and 2nd options for models, confirmations, healthcare vouchers for shows and how this all works into the budget.

English Literature - King's College London Since starting university, I have blogged (raineyseason.wordpress.com) as often as possible, writing as many as 30 blogs in the past year. This outlet has led me to write a lot more and be published in the university journal. Of late I have extended my subjects to fashion, mental health and lifestyle topics. I am very interested in a career in fashion and/or media. Additionally, to ameliorate my experience with media I have begun hosting a radio show for the university radio channel as to gain more experience in a studio environment. This role sparked an interest in presenting and so in February I attended a Channel 4 Pop-Up event in Wolverhampton. The opportunity gave me insight of the roles within media and by talking to several presenters I found out what it takes to be a presenter myself.
