I am a motivated, confident, committed and creative designer/illustrator with over 18 years of design experience currently working as a freelance designer/illustrator in Worthing for the last five years, previously working at Bonnier Publishing for Blink Publishing as senior cover/book/branding designer/illustrator, before that as branding and marketing for Bonnier and also before that as senior sales designer at Penguin Books UK and Magazine designer Puffin Books club.
I am skilled in many forms of design from graphic design, book design, magazine design, art direction, packaging, branding, POS, illustrations, photo manipulation, web banners, concept mock-ups, logos, web design, typesetting, pitch decks, creative marketing solutions, powerpoint presentations, events and sales pitches.
My current freelance role allows me to work on many varied projects, recently on such projects as rebranding a Welsh MP’s online and marketing material. the MET university, Marketing material for The Tree based in London and many children books.
My previous role as senior designer allowed me to design covers for high profile books and marketing for the Robbie Williams, Jenson Button, Scarlett Moffat, F2 Freestylers, vlogger Alfie Deyes, children’s books and many more. I have designed for companies such as McDonalds, Waterstones, Nationwide, Bentley and The National Trust, and designed for Roald Dahl, Peppa Pig, Peter Rabbit, Jamie Oliver and James Bond.
These roles have given me an excellent insight into the creative side of design and all that it encompasses. It has encouraged me to develop a deeper knowledge of the role as designer and allowed me to express my talent in design working on adult and children’s marketing as well as working on various sales pitches including Anthony Joshua, Jenson Button, Adele, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and M&S.
I am confident with managing all aspects and stages of a design, layout, colour correction, and production and have the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. I am highly proficient in Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, also I am able to use Final Cut Pro. I am a commissioned illustrator and really love to incorporate my talent at illustration in to my work.
I’m fun loving, innovative, eager to learn and possess strong skills in design, layout, illustration and have a sophisticated sense of typography.
