CoFounder/Creative Director of Kin Things & Network NextSydney, Australia
About me
I am a highly awarded Creative Director, Designer and Director who partners with brands, studios and marketers to develop and execute high end creative solutions. I am a founding partner of the Sydney based creative studio, Kin Things (Kin) and a co-founder of network technology company, Network Next. Over the course of my career I have designed, directed, animated, branded and communicated for a variety of international brands & broadcasters across a mix of media. Prior to Kin, I helped establish two of Australia's leading design and motion graphic studios - most recently as Creative Director for The DMCI (www.thedmci.com.au). In it's 3 years since opening, the studio picked up over 25 International Awards including the 2012 CREATE Award for Motion Design. I embrace problem solving and strongly believe in open creative partnerships. Telling tales is my passion and connecting with people through storytelling is a huge driving force behind what I do. I also happen to enjoy leading teams of creatives, looking to inspire and draw out their inherent creativity. My work has been recognised, screened & awarded throughout the world. This includes over 60 PromaxBDA Awards including multiple World, Asia and AusNZ Golds. I have also had the honor of presenting on design, branding & motion graphics at conferences in New York, Singapore, Johannesburg, Sydney & Melbourne. In 2010 I had the honour of speaking at the agIdeas International Design Conference. Over the years I have provided creative consultation to the Television, Media, Entertainment, Music, Fashion, Retail & Digital markets working with brands such as: CBS, Coca-Cola, FORD, Foxtel, Discovery Channels, Turner, Westfield, National Geographic Channels, FOX, ABC, SBS, Network 10, Channel 9, Nickelodeon, Disney, BBC, MTV, TEDx, Harvey Norman, Domayne, IGA, R.M. Williams, Val Morgan, Commonwealth Bank, Mitsubishi Electric, Roadshow, Warner Music, EMI, Sony and Video Ezy.

  • FUTURE PROOF
FUTURE PROOFFUTURE PROOF The DMC Initiative (DMCI) developed this piece as a response to the 2011 A/NZ PromaxBDA Conference title of Future Proof. Our approach was to focus not on futuristic notions but to consider that which is timeless. People, the expression of self and the interactions between each other are timeless qualities relevant to creativity, no matter what the future holds. The concept started quite fluidly, by briefing a variety of dancers, with individual performance styles, to develop c

  • AEON - TEDx Sydney Film
AEON - TEDx Sydney FilmAEON is an animated short film created to be a part of the 2013 TEDxSydney conference. It's purpose is to act as a 'palette cleanser' between talks. AEON explores the concepts of growth, loosely reflected as a cyclical journey across the natural seasons over the course of many years. We draw loose parallels between these natural seasons and the seasons within an individuals life. We purposely left the piece open to interpretation, but we would note that in developing AEON, we did explore the d
