For most people, career is a noun. For me it’s becoming more like a verb. I enjoy bouncing from project to project - it’s what keeps me fresh.
Amongst other things, I have -
- Created and built my own retail and design business, selling products - designed by me - to customers all across the globe.
- Invented a new sports festival concept, successfully pitched it to one of the world’s leading sports media brands and led on delivery (until COVID-19 put us on ice for a few months).
- Designed a range of clothing for a major sportswear brand, leading to a 300% increase in sector orders (they re-commissioned me try and repeat the trick for 2021).
- Led the popular music events strategy and production for BBC Radio, creating and delivering major music events and festivals, attended by tens of thousands and broadcast to millions.
- Created the marketing plans for some of the biggest concerts ever staged in the UK.
- Directed, troubleshooted, contingency-planned, budget-trimmed and kept on track some of the UK’s most popular festivals.
- Managed things: multi-million pound budgets, complex teams, stakeholder groups, talented people.
- Marketed, a lot, via old-school and social… products, radio stations, gigs.
- Creative directed good stuff including book covers, magazines, brand identities, artwork, clothing and much more.
- Failed plenty, learned lots, succeeded more.
I’m working for myself, running two small businesses, contracting my services and always looking for the next fun thing. I’m open to job offers or just ready for a chat, so get in touch.
