I'm Nia, a writer and creator with experience working in health and artistic movements through online platforms, journalism, higher education and charity work.
I am the founder and content creator for the successful platform @the_chronic_notebook blog on social media with over 30k followers on social media.
I recently won the ASUS UK Enter Your Voice Competition to fund this work and was also nominated for a WEGO Health advocacy award based on it’s output.
As part of this work, I have founded a successful support group for those with disabilities and chronic illnesses, now with 500+ members, as well as taken part in many collaborative projects with different organisations, institutions and artists.
I currently write for Healthline through Red Ventures Media. I write articles on disability, chronic illness and ableism. I am a confident, expressive and unique writer, with good literacy proficiency and a strong ability to communicate. My own writing can be found across my social media channels, as can original resources and videos which I have created using the same principles and dedication.
