Creating hubs for sponsorship across the channels • Creating the Food channel, sponsored by Sainsbury’s in MSN’s biggest channel sponsorship deal • Creating channel propositions for new channel launches: MSN’s global Luxury channel, MSN UK’s new Homes, Wellbeing and Family channels • Overseeing the calendar of events, the writing, commissioning and editing of content across the channels • Managing the £250k commissioning budget for the Lifestyle group • Boosting the channels’ profiles on social media • Interviewing celebrities and bringing named columnists to the channels • Leading the video strategy and recruiting specialist presenters While at Microsoft I was responsible for significant increases in the monthly page view and unique user figures for the Lifestyle group of channels, from 10 million to 50 million and one million to four million respectively. This was achieved by growing our existing readership and launching additional channels in Lifestyle. I also took our Shopping section from a failing channel to a successful one, doubling its traffic and beating all targets. I progressed quickly at MSN, increasing the number of channels and staff I manage, along with budgetary responsibilities. I am a confident public speaker, presenting at industry events and alongside the sales team to clients. I have built excellent working relationships both internally and with major brands across my channel sectors. The way I manage the Lifestyle group of channels has been hailed as an example at MSN, both in terms of the ways I create compelling channel propositions and how I work with the portal business, marketing and sales teams.
